Welcome

The Cambridgeshire Aerotow Club is based at Sutton Meadows, near Cambridge, and is only a hour drive from London, up the M11. Sutton meadows is a wonderful Hangglider Aerotow site providing 2000' launches into your desired thermal in any wind direction. The longest cross country flight made from this site was 174K. This was made by one of the top UK hang glider pilots, Justin Needham. The potential for flights longer than this is enormous. There are good facilities at the site. The field itself has three separate grass runways (10/28:490m, 06/24:490m, 01/19:480m) allowing us to take off and land in all wind directions either by foot launching or launching from our club trolley.

We have a club caravan/mobile home having the benefits of running water, electricity, single and double bedrooms and cooking facilities. There are permanent ladies and gents toilets and the possibility of hang glider storage for those of you who want to make Sutton Meadows your permanent hang gliding base.
