DIRECTIONS

Cambridgeshire Aerotow Club

Sutton Meadows
CB6 2BJ

The airfield is situated in the rural fenlands of East Anglia. Due to its close proximity to the prominent '100 foot drains', the airfield is easily located from the air.

However, it often proves a little more difficult for new visitors to find the airfield by road.

From the West end of Sutton village take Bury Lane towards Sutton Gault and 'The Anchor' restaurant. After 1 mile the road passes the 'The Anchor' restaurant on the left-hand side. Continue on The Causeway over the bridges crossing the two '100 foot drains' (dykes) then just 50 yards beyond, take the first left turning by the telephone box. There is a small yellow signpost for the 'Cambs Microlight Club'.

Warning: The road progressively becomes a bumpy farm track.

After 0.4 mile, bear right with the road (just after passing a farm house). Continue down the road/track for 0.7 mile and around a sharp left bend, (ahead you will notice the airfield windsock to the right-hand side). Proceed along the track for a further 0.7 mile then turn right at the T junction. The entrance to the airfield is 200 yards along on the right. Park in the grass parking area next to the caravans and hanger.

Very occasionally the road crossing the Gault becomes flooded and it is necessary to take an alternative route via Chatteris. This diversion is usually signposted.  https://flood-warning-information.service.gov.uk/station/6252
